Tim Bary

Researcher

Tim Bary holds a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering with a specialization in biorobotics and biomechanics, which he earned from the Université Catholique de Louvain in 2023. His Master Thesis was dedicated to exploring the application of transformer neural networks for EEG (Electroencephalogram) processing and developing pre-training datasets from unlabelled data for this purpose.

Currently, Tim is pursuing his Ph.D. as a researcher for the MedReSyst-CA project. This project is focused on improving the adoption of AI and the knowledge transfer in the medical field through the development of Coalitionnal Active Learning, a novel approach that replaces the traditional single, perfectly accurate oracle with a coalition of flawed oracles. These "flawed oracles" have a non-zero chance of providing incorrect answers, challenging conventional paradigms in the pursuit of more robust and versatile learning methodologies.
