Mariana Andrade Vieira

Researcher

Mariana received her bachelor's degree from UFPE (Brazil) in 2017 in the subject of theoretical physics, and her master's degree from the Niels Bohr Institute (Denmark) in 2020, where she worked with effective field theories applied to a binary system of black-holes by using the post-Newtonian approximation of gravity.

Now she turns her research interests to machine learning and its applications. Under the supervision of Prof. BenoƮt Macq, she is tackling challenges in the medical imaging and geospatial worlds and working on the TCLearn project, a trusted coalition structure for the cooperation of different partners in the training of a machine learning model with sensitive data.
