Luka Rukonic

Research Assistant

Luka Rukonic has graduated from Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) in 2017, where he obtained a master's degree in computer science. His specialization was focused on web and information systems. He has always been interested about the idea of designing software for users and in line with their needs. In his master's thesis he explored the relation between UX maturity levels and the use of UX methods in organizations when developing software, resulting in UX strategy plans aligned with their skills, resources and risk appetite. 


In 2017, he has joined Université catholique de Louvain, where he currently works as a research assistant on two projects. His research interests include the exploration of opportunities in eHealth domain and HCI aspects in the development of medical applications. In the project City Labs, he is working as a web developer on the application for the empowerment of patients with chronic diseases. In the UserMedia/MediMedia project, his tasks are related to the development of user-friendly interfaces for medical imaging applications. 


In summer 2018, he will participate in the MIT Global Startup Labs innovation and development event.
